
Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman was brought via convoy to the Pakistani city of Lahore for the border crossing that would return the Indian pilot back to Indian soil. The crossing was met with Indian policeman and cheering residents from the area who waved the Indian flag to welcome the pilot.
Pakistan wants peace, but it should not be treated as out weakness,” Khan was quoted and went on to say, “The region will prosper if there is peace and stability. It is good for both sides.”
India has made statements in regards to further retaliation saying it will not hesitate to strike if they receive any information of an impending attack, including Pakistan in the statement. It has also gone as far as banning the most prominent political and religious group in Indian-held Kashmir in an effort to crackdown on rebels in the area.
